Things have not gone well for the self-proclaimed Manager of the Year. He is 3-8, dead last in the league, and in danger of getting last place.
And to make it worse, his keeper situation is dicey. He is losing Justin Verlander and Tim Lincecum, and Ian Kinsler sucks. And there's not much relief in sight.
Mike has asked me to get his message out to the league via the blog: He is looking to trade to solidify his keeper situation for next year.
"Everyone on my team is available," Mike said. "Although if im trading one keeper (and a) loss of 20 bucks, I'd rather not trade the other, so it has to be for a good name dude."
That doesn't necessarily mean Mike is looking to trade his keepers, but he is looking for a keeper-quality player for next season.
But if he does want to trade you Verlander or Lincecum, a reminder, that it's a 20 dollar fee AND the loss of an eighth-round (11th overall) draft pick to trade a keeper.
So what does Mike want?
"I have Kinsler under contract, who I'm not expecting to cut," he said. "So I will definitely be looking for a front-end pitcher foremost. I will also be looking at offers for positional players."
Have at it, fellas, if interested.
