After spending most of his career in the basement - including two last-place finishes - Adam ran through most of the league this season. Now he's got a chance to do real damage in the playoffs.
And his fans are backing him. Everywhere you go, you see people wearing Phightin Sillies T-shirts. I've even driven over the bridge and seen Phightin Sillies car flags blowing in the wind.
"That's awesome!" Adam said. "We need some help."
Clearly Chris has noticed it, too. He has taken exception to the fact that, nationally, people seem to be rooting for Adam over him.
"I understand the feel-good story," Chris said. "(But) we need to use all the animosity directed toward our team as motivation to continue to produce each day and hopefully win the league."
It's quite a sight to see. Just two years ago, many of these same fans were calling for Adam's head.
Now he's the toast of the town. Around this time in past years, fantasy football is on the fans' minds. But now, no one on radio or television wants to talk about football. It's fantasy baseball season, baby!
