Week 18 Power Rankings

Here are this week's KLS5 Power Rankings. As always, this is a subjective process, and there isn't any specific formula used to determine the rankings.

All complaints should be sent to the commissioner. Team record in parenthesis, and previous week's ranking follows the slash.


1. Cole Miners (12-6) / 3 - Nobody seems to want to hold on to the top spot in the power rankings. This week, we'll give Bob a shot.

2. DUIs & MRIs (10-8) / 4 - Proud of the Sheep for making it this high in the rankings after I deemed his squad one of the worst ever assembled.

3. Minnesota Twins (11-7) / 5 - Who scheduled these matchups? Chris heads to Caribbean on vacation during pennant race and gets Rick? C'mon.

4. Bernie Madoff (11-6-1) / 1 - Mike wilting in the heat of a pennant race? Two losses in his last three weeks. Huge test this week vs. Bob.

5. Smutt Peddlers 5 (11-6-1) / 2 - Joe clearly more concerned with the financial service industry the last few days than his fantasy team. It has shown.

6. Billy Ball (9-7-2) / 6 - Four of Jack's seven losses have come to teams currently at .500 or below. Not good.

7. ZeroOffense (9-9) / 7 - Wait. Zero offense? Is this the same team that I recently blogged about pure domination on the hitting side?

8. Draft wasn't Wed (7-8-3) / 8 - Dave is like that little booger you can't get out of your nose. You pick, pick, pick, but it just seem doesn't go away.

9. Charlene Murphy? (7-11) / 10 - Hal happy to play spoiler and give the Twitter Division some pride by just absolutely crushing Joe.

10. Turd n the punchbowl (8-8-2) / 9 - Some teams have a motto of "Refuse to Lose." Ken's, however, seems to be "Refuse to Win."

11. All I Do Is Lose (5-13) / 12 - Michael Brantley eighth-inning homer on Sunday night gives Andy a win over Jack and some cushion over Rick.

12. Fireballs 11 (2-13-3) / 11 - Did Rick change his name and add "11" because that's where he was in the Power Rankings last week? If so, oops...
