Despite a lead at the midway point of the championship match, Bob is not happy with his hitting.
It's his hitting that got him to this point, as it's been consistent for most of the year. But with a less-than-stellar average and OPS, two categories Bob has relied on, he is pretty ticked off.
"I'm not that confident that I will win," Bob said Monday. "Because I need my hitters to wake the hell up."
But wait, that's not all Bob had to say.
"We hit some homers the last couple of days, but that is the only life I've seen out of them all week," he said. "If they wake up, then I see myself winning. If they don't, well, then it's been a lost year."
A lost year? Wow.
Very interesting comments from Bob. How will his team respond? You have to imagine his hitters might not be too happy reading about this over their morning danish and coffee.
