I have compiled a few expert predictions for the championship match. Remember, I asked for a prediction, not a rooting interest.
After the jump.
Chris: "I'm picking Bob. Contrary to what Joe says, pitching doesn't win championships, hitting does. Bob has the all-around best hitting in the league including four guys with 90+ RBIs."
Adam: "Who. cares."
Andy: "Bob because Joe actually drafted his own team this year, and this streak needs to end eventually."
Ken: "Bob. He's been en fuego the whole second half. But I'll be rooting for the underdog."
Ricky: "I gotta go with Bob for a few reasons. One, if his pitching is even half as good as it was this week, he'll take the matchup. Pitching wins championships. The bats will come. Plus, his offense had just an OK week while Joe's had a breakout week. It's hard to sustain that over two weeks straight, as I know first-hand from my crew of bums - I hope they enjoyed the blowout last week more than a shot at the trophy (::shake head in disgust::). Anyway, the other reason is because Joe won last year, and I don't want him to have more championships than me. I don't want anyone to have more than me, so that's an easy one. I'm rooting for Bob. Plus, he beat me so you gotta go with the team who beats you on the way to the finals."
Mike: "(I'm rooting for) Joe. Smutt is a cooler name and he's not a Philly fan that I'm aware of. But Cole will win because I think his team is better and because he's a good motivational speaker."
Jack: "I am going to withhold a prediction for the finals. I think both teams are strong and it should be a good match."
Shea: "I'm gonna go Joe. This matchup reminds me of Phillies-Rays and Steelers-Cardinals. The feel-good team gets there but falters to a more experienced team in the end."
Richie: "No prediction."
