End of season review: No. 3 Joe

(Editor's note: This is the latest in a series of season evaluations based on power ranking trends. At the end, each manager will be given a final determination of overachiever, underachiever or expected achiever.)

The self-proclaimed Greatest Fantasy Manager of All-Time. The Miserable Meatball. The Salty Shinjay.

I could go on and on with the nicknames, but this is a time to review your season, Joe. And, yes, you are No. 3 because the end of season reviews are based off charts that end at the final power rankings - the end of the regular-season!

Your full review after the jump.

You became the first manager in league history to make it to two straight championships. But, you ran out of steam in the finals.

Your final chart looks like something that describes your mood on a daily basis. Up, then a big dip down, then up, then down, up, down. What's up with all the inconsistency? Oh, right, I forgot the financial service industry played a major factor into your midseason swoon.

But, alas, we must give credit where credit is due. It's not easy pulling off the feat you accomplished. Many managers can't even make it to the playoffs on a yearly basis, let alone do what you've done.

For that, we are impressed. Now we will see if your managerial skills are good. You have some very tough decisions to make this offseason.

Will Teixeira be staying or going? What about Haren? Will you give up draft picks?

As for your final evaluation, well, you were ranked No. 1 preseason, so it would have been hard to overachieve. You could have expected achieved, but your inconsistency and your final No. 3 ranking leads me to this...

Final evaluation: Underachiever!

  1. don't blame just the finance industry on MMM's mood swings.
