The discussion will take place in the Comments section on the blog. I will add a poll and we will have a final vote. In some cases, a majority will be needed to pass the rule change, in others a 3/4th majority and some might even need a unanimous vote.
Our first topic of the winter meetings to discuss in division realignment.
Current status: Two divisions of six teams, the same alignment from Season 1.
Proposed change: Random realignment of divisions every three years (including this offseason).
Pros: New rivalries, new blood, a fresh start for some, a way to mix things up.
Cons: No reason to since we play everyone twice anyway, divisions are fine as is.
Change needed: Simple majority

voted yes, playing everyone 2 times or not...should be fun to battle with others for divison titles every few years...
ReplyDeleteAgree, don't really see much of a downside to it. Plus, I'm tired of being in the better division each year.
ReplyDeleteI think it's a good idea to shake up the talent distribution between the two divisions; no one will feel perpetually stuck in a good or bad division. Plus, the random selection could make for some interesting lopsided divisions too!
