Breaking down the All-Stars

With the All-Star rosters out, now's about as good a time as ever to break down each team by All-Stars.

Before I release them, here's the trivia question: Without looking at the rosters, can you name the only All-Star who is not on a MTL FBKL roster?

The goodies after the jump.

Adam - 6

  2. Javier Vazquez got robbed! He led the league in K's for most of the season with a solid ERA and WHIP but got no run support. Who picks these teams anyway?!

  4. The fans and the players never get it completely right. someone is always left out. We all new jeter was gettin the fans vote so im glad my man bartlett made it as well.

It should go back to the managers of the all star teams (last yr ws managers) picking the teams backups. Torre use chock if full of Yanks and rightfully so back in the day.

  6. Chollie actually picked deserving guys for his picks, can't say the same for Maddon though, Wakefield? come on, and how can you leave off the AL HR leader especially when he plays for your team. Also, Bailey has had a nice year and he's on my team but I don't know if he's an AL All Star closer...

  7. Young Rebel,

I will disagree despite my loyalism to Old Cholly. Howard would not be on the team if it were any other manager; Marquis and Santana should not have been picked over Gallardo and Jurrjens, Cueto (since it was picked before Monday) and maybe even Carpenter.

And Bailey is there because there's no other viable Oakland candidate. I'm OK with Wakefield being there, though, as a fun, sentimental pick. I do agree with you about Pena, however remember Maddon took Zobrist from his team.
