If you were an MLB franchise...

...then which team would you most likely resemble?

Here's the list I put together. Agree or disagree? Leave a comment.

Mike - Detroit Tigers. A fluke season to make it to the championship; has not returned since and hardly contended.

Shea - Chicago Cubs. Who else? A lovable loser who has expensive players but no hope.

Bob - New York Yankees. The league's version of a dynasty. Two titles and a runner-up appearance. Playoffs each year.

Dave - Pittsburgh Pirates. Never had a winning season. No hope in sight. Rebuilds every year.

Jack - Los Angeles Dodgers. A proud franchise who has won the division but doesn't capitalize in the playoffs.

Hal - Colorado Rockies. Expansion team that made the playoffs very early on and seems like they could contend for a title.

Andy - Minnesota Twins. Often a playoff team that loses early in the postseason.

Chris - Tampa Bay Rays. No titles but a couple close-calls. A team you expect to contend each year.

Joe - Philadelphia Phillies. A title in 2008. A title-game appearance in 2009. A too-soon playoff exit in 2010.

Rick - Los Angeles Angels. A once-great contender who won a title years ago but has done little since.

Ken - Seattle Mariners. A playoff appearance sprinkled in here and there, but really no buzz about this team.

Adam - Cincinnati Reds. Has fans excited about the future but quickly flamed out of the most recent playoffs.

  1. Nice. Funny, I was thinking what MLB team I could change my name too, and then you did this. Tigers seem about right....Will they contend this year? YES THEY WILL.

  2. good work overall, all of these seem pretty dead on. i think the mets could be worked in here somehow, lots of big names, flame out late in the season and disappoint ... show of hands anyone meet that criteria?
