Week 1 Power Rankings

Here are this week's KLS5 Power Rankings. As always, this is a subjective process, and there isn't any specific formula used to determine the rankings.

All complaints should be sent to the Commissioner's office of the league. Team record in parenthesis, and previous week's ranking follows the slash.

1. Cole Miners (1-0) / 1 - Can Nelson Cruz keep carrying Bob with Ryan Zimmerman out now?

2. Bronx Bombers (1-0) / 3 - Is it just me or has Chris had a keeper significantly injured every year? (Greinke)

3. Billy Ball (0-0-1) / 4 - Jack is saved by a Josh Beckett circa-2003 pitching performance.

4. Charlie Murphy (0-1) / 2 - Hal's team didn't show up to the matchup, which was basically over before the weekend began.

5. Turd n the punchbowl (1-0) / 8 - Ken makes good on promise to be better this year. Remember his 0-5 start last year?

6. Smutt Peddlers 5 (0-0-1) / 9 - I saw Joe on Saturday. First thing he says to me, before saying hi, is: "So how does Billy Ball like the Smutt Peddlers?" God, I was rooting hard for that Beckett CG on Sunday night.

7. DUIs & MRIs (1-0) / 11 - Shea's DUI and MRI guys combine for 19 hits, 4 homers, 11 RBIs.

8. Bernie Madoff (1-0) / 10 - Capitals in 5.

9. Phightin Sillies (0-1) / 7 - Flyers in 7.

10. One Little Squeaker (0-1) / 5 - Andy already looking forward to 2013, when Kevin Youkilis won't be on his team anymore.

11. We Going Money (0-1) / 6 - Most SBs, least HRs. Yep, that's about right on as we projected in the preseason.

12. Draft wasn't Wed (0-1) / 12 - Dave at the bottom for eight power rankings in a row (dating back to last year).

  1. Sillies a Sabres fan? I like him more now.

Go Sabres. But realistically Flyers in 6.
