Here are this week's KLS5 Power Rankings. As always, this is a subjective process, and there isn't any specific formula used to determine the rankings.
All complaints should be sent to the commissioner. Team record in parenthesis, and previous week's ranking follows the slash.
1. Bernie Madoff (10-4-1) / 1 - Win was so easy for Mike that he wanted to bench hitters Sunday to become first to ever winner with 0 homers in a week.
2. Smutt Peddlers 5 (10-4-1) / 2 - Joe wins from New Jersey, Joe wins from New York, Joe can even win from California. It might be his year.
3. Cole Miners (10-5) / 3 - Bob improves to 9-1 against the Twitter Division, with the only loss coming to Shea.
4. Billy Ball (8-5-2) / 4 - Jack lost some ground this week, as he was the only one in the Facebook Division who didn't win. (He did tie, though).
5. MismatchMyAss (8-7) / 5 - Of five voters on the blog poll, none think Adam will make playoffs. A) Where are the rest of you to vote? B) A win vs. Bob this week could change that.
6. Turd n the punchbowl (8-6-1) / 8 - Sneaky Ken takes advantage of the waived innings requirement to steal a much-needed tie.
7. DUIs & MRIs (7-8) / 6 - The bad news? Shea has lost three out of four to fall into third in the division. The good news? Shea still faces the league's three worst teams.
8. Minnesota Twins (8-7) / 7 - Chris now is actually on the outside-looking-in of playoffs. And this comes after Adrian Gonzalez comes up small yet again on a Sunday night.
9. Draft wasn't Wed (6-8-1) / 10 - If Dave can upset Mike this week, he gets a bye next week vs. Rick, meaning he'd be .500 with five weeks to go and in position to make a run at the playoffs.
10. Charlene Murphy? (6-9) / 9 - Better luck next year, Hal.
11. All I Do Is Lose (4-11) / 11 - Andy has guaranteed a victory vs. Shea this week because, well, what else does he have to play for at this point?
12. Fireballs (1-12-2) / 12 - Will Rick be able to swing a trade-deadline deal to improve this atrocious situation?

ReplyDeleteFirst off who voted Mike and Kent leading division as most suprising? You must have been suprised by Kent, because I am the real deal.
I voted other. I am most suprised that at this point in season 5 of the 6 playoff teams are from one division.
I'm surprised I'm not in first, so by default I'm surprised that you're in first Mike.
