End of season review: No 12 Richie
(Editor's note: This is the first in a series of season evaluations based on power ranking trends. At the end, each manager will be given a final determination of overachiever, underachiever or expected achiever.)
Ohhhh, Richie.
What a terrible year it was. Blame Josh Hamilton, blame Matt Holliday, blame yourself. Those three sum up the brutality of a season you had. You finished 4-18, tying Adam (Season 1) for the worst win percentage in league history. Your prize? A $20 last-place fee.
Your evaluation after the jump.
Judging by the above graph I've posted, it seems you finished right around where you were expected to. We had you as a preseason 10 and you ended the season 12.
You peaked again at a 10, for one week, when you picked up your first win. Humiliating, yes, that's for sure. Judging by the rankings, though, one thing we could always count on was you near the bottom. It's pretty impressive you managed to stay in the same three-spot range all year. I'd be surprised if anyone else had that kind of futility.
It's your second straight year out of the playoffs. Fans expect better next year. Should we?
Final determination: Expected achiever
