Keepers by the numbers

After seven long days of a keeper declaration period, we finally got some answers to our long-awaited questions.

Now, we start to break down some of the decisions made and the long-term ramifications.

After the jump, we look at keepers by the numbers.


24 - Players signed to 1-year deals
9 - Players signed to 2-year deals
3- Players signed to 3-year deals
4 - Managers who declared on the first day
3 - Managers who waited until the last day to declare
1 - Manager who waited until the last hour to declare
6 - Managers who will lose a draft pick this season
1 - Manager who will lose multiple draft picks
2 - Managers who didn't make any changes
6 - First basemen kept, the most of any hitting position
4 - Players kept from the Phillies and Yankees, the most of any team
16 - Original keepers who will be in the final year of their contracts
