Our 12th manager is...

Hal!

Some of you know him, others will get to know him. Hal has been chomping at the bit to get into this league (as have many others) for quite some time.

It was a tough decision with so many valiant applicants, and every one seemed worthy. But Hal is the choice.

After the jump, a Q&A with our new manager.

Q: You may know some of the people in this league, but there's a few you don't. Describe yourself to them.
A: Well, as most of you know I am a die hard Philadelphia sports fan, as well as a fan of the city in general. I love to play and watch all sports and I have been playing fantasy sports since the fall of 2000 where I have been known to mix it up in all four major sports. I had to take time away from mainstream fantasy sports for personal reasons in the fall of '04. However, after working my way back up through the ranks and dominating various underground fantasy leagues, I feel that I am ready to take this keeper league by storm.

Q: What comes to mind when the following teams are named: Phillies, Yankees, Mets?
A: One word comes to mind for each team:
Phillies: Heart; Yankees: Money; and Mets: Failure

Q: Why do you think you'll be able to compete with the elites in this fantasy league?
A: With my vast managerial experience in fantasy sports and overall savvy I feel I should be able to jump in and compete from season one.

Q: How do you feel about taking over a roster with Roy Oswalt, Justin Upton and Jose Reyes?
A: I feel that as though while these keepers may be a tough pill to swallow, I will be able to make it work and break through the wall of adversity that the former manager has left in front of me.

Q: Are you looking forward to trash talking?
A: Anyone who knows me knows I am looking forward to talking trash.

Q: When you get last place will you quit the following year like the manager you're taking over?
A: To me, the more important and relevant question is: "When I win the league will the other managers cry foul?"

Q: Any other comments?
A: I'd like to thank Andy for this opportunity and for inviting me back into this fantasy sports ring. I would also like to thank Richie for dropping out and giving me this opportunity. I'd also like to make it known that I want back in to any other of your fantasy leagues if and when they have openings.

Let's all take a moment to welcome Hal into the league. Welcome, Hal. Good luck, and we hope you know what you're getting yourself into.
