Here are this week's KLS7 Power Rankings. As always, this is a subjective process, and there isn't any specific formula used to determine the rankings.
All complaints should be sent to the commissioner. Team record in parenthesis, and previous week's ranking follows the slash.
1. The Allen Websters (10-6) / 2 - Hal takes over top spot with his ninth win in 11 weeks, with six in blowout fashion. Somewhat surprising to see such a drastic roster overhaul via trades.
2. Give Sosa a Chance! (10-6) / 3 - Jason Heyward's heroics on Sunday night give Shea a dramatic and huge win over Joe.
3. Los Pollos Hermanos (10-6) / 1 - Andy gets bludgeoned by 15, the biggest defeat in the league this season. Good thing it only counts for one loss in the standings.
4. Goldschmember (10-5-1) / 6 - Bovada released odds on which washed-up ex-star Chris will cut first. Alex Rodriguez -250 or Chris Carpenter +300.
5. Billy Ball (7-9) / 7 - Coinidence or not, once Jack unloads his DL, he goes on a roll. Three straight wins and now in the playoff race
6. Suck Peddlers (8-8) / 4 - Joe now 0-2 in the 3-week gauntlet that we identified as a stretch that would define his season.
7. Backdoor Slider (8-8) / 10 - And so it continues: Rotating Ws and Ls for nine straight weeks now. A for-sure 1-and-done playoff team, if at all.
8. Ahh Herro-o (9-7) / 5 - Could our defending champ miss the playoffs? Would be the second year in a row, if so, after not happening at all the first five.
9. Nyjer Please (7-9) / 8 - Shut off the lights and close the door behind you, Mike. It's ovah!
10. Cole Miners (6-9-1) / 12 - After trading all those star pitchers, can Bob trust Jordan Zimmermann as a keeper?
11. Fireballs (6-10) / 9 - "What is his problem?" Rick jokes to the league. "Managing a good team," the league responds. Joking?
12. TurnThisShitArounndd (4-12) / 11 - It's statistically possible for Adam to clinch a tie for last place if he loses the next two weeks.
