And while I'm not 100%, the one thing that seems to be unanimous is my sick ability to work a jinx.
At one point earlier this season, Chris legitimately got angry at me for picking him to win each week. Joe has been on record as saying that he likes when I pick against him because at one point I was like 1-12 when picking his games.
And now Bob is complaining after my 17-1 prediction of his beating of Mike this week. I show his team some love, and what do I get in response?
"I don't like that prediction of yours," Bob said to me. "17-1 is a major jinx."
Sheesh.
While I have been known to put a hex or two on certain teams (Shea still has yet to get Justin Morneau back), I take no responsibility for the jinxes.
Of course, my hexing people probably backfired, as I've probably experienced the most costly injuries this season.
Let's call that a reverse jinx. Happy, people?
let's not forget the time de la rosa was cruising in a game, he was up to bat, andy said "i hope that he gets hit on a finger on his pitching hand on this at bat and leaves the game ... at bat goes by, no problems, first batter of the next inning, what happens? de la rosa tears a tendon in a finger on his pitching hand.... thanks andy.
