Adam's great season ends too soon

The Phightin Sillies had their greatest season in league history. After three long losing years, Adam fielded a team that was dominant for parts of the regular season.

But a 15-6-1 regular season ended in an 0-1 postseason. Adam's season ended with a very disappointing 11-8 quarterfinal loss to Chris. Three of Adam's seven losses this year came to Chris.

No doubt, missing Josh Hamilton was a big reason why Adam lost in the playoffs.

Hamilton's injury was fitting, given that Adam dealt with hurt players all season long. He had 3-4 guys on the DL at various points of the season.

"All in all, a great year," Adam said. "Learned a lot about myself and am excited for next year."

Who wouldn't be with this core of keepers? David Price, Hamilton, Matt Holliday are among a few he could choose from. He will have to decide whether to keep Dustin Pedroia for the final year of his contract or cut him and lose the draft pick to sign someone else.
