Here are this week's KLS5 Power Rankings. As always, this is a subjective process, and there isn't any specific formula used to determine the rankings.
All complaints should be sent to the commissioner. Team record in parenthesis, and previous week's ranking follows the slash.
1. Cole Miners (13-6) / 1 - Bob with a statement win over Mike, solidifies himself clearly as best team in division and league.
2. Minnesota Twins (12-7) / 3 - Chris can clinch the division with a win this week and a Ken tie or loss.
3. DUIs & MRIs (10-9) / 2 - Last time vs. Chris, Shea guaranteed a victory. This time? All quiet. What gives?
4. Bernie Madoff (11-7-1) / 4 - Big talker Mike has lost three of four to basically kiss any division title goodbye. Pressure. Wilted.
5. Billy Ball (10-7-2) / 6 - Jack ekes out an absolutely necessary victory, but check out his remaining opponents' combined win percentage: .619!
6. ZeroOffense (10-9) / 7 - Name change, please? Nine homers, 41 RBIs, 42 runs, .335 average, .932 OPS last week.
7. Smutt Peddlers 5 (11-7-1) / 5 - Erick Aybar is 1-for-38 since Joe traded for him. NOT A TYPO.
8. Charlene Murphy? (8-11) / 9 - Too little, too late for Dan Uggla and Hal, who have waited too late in the season to go on a surge.
9. Turd n the punchbowl (9-8-2) / 10 - Ken breaks this epic winless streak, but we still don't have much confidence in him making playoffs.
10. Draft wasn't Wed (7-9-3) / 8 - All that's left for Dave is a chance to get above .500 for the season.
11. All I Do Is Lose (5-14) / 11 - Andy has as many losses by three or fewer points as he does wins this season. So does Rick. Read that once more.
12. Fireballs 11 (2-14-3) / 12 - Speaking of The Rick... he will be locked into last place and the #1 odds in the draft lottery if he loses this week.

ReplyDelete"All good teams hit rough patches. We just getting ours out of the way now. Plenty of time to get back on track for our playoff push/run."- Ryan Braun
"Change of pace is often needed for a team to hit their stride. We will not fold"- Delmon Young
"My elbow hurts."- Scott Baker
"Hope I can stay on this team for more then one start."- Aj Burnett
Sources tell me AJ Burnett has already worn out his welcome. His next start could be his last in MTLKL Jersey.
