Here are this week's KLS7 Power Rankings. As always, this is a subjective process, and there isn't any specific formula used to determine the rankings.All complaints should be sent to the commissioner. Team record in parenthesis, and previous week's ranking follows the slash.
1. Goldschmember (5-0) / 1 - I know it's early, but don't tell me this hasn't crossed Chris' mind: Unprecedented undefeated season.
2. Ahh Herro-o (4-1) / 3 - Dave in Weeks 1-4? 23 HRs. Dave in Week 5? 14 HRs. Well done.
3. Cole Miners (3-2) / 2 - Bob will be favored this week vs. Shea because he's 6-2-1 in his career after losing two straight.
4. Suck Peddlers (3-2) / 6 - Why the suck, Joe? No faith in the boys? We want Smutt!
5. Give Sosa a Chance! (3-2) / 11 - Hard to imagine anyone getting a better week out of their keepers than Shea did from Miggy, Trout and Verlander.
6. Backdoor Slider (2-3) / 5 - You know what's funny? Josh Hamilton's at-bats.
7. Nyjer Please (2-3) / 4 - Seems like Mike has become an afterthought since winning it all in 2011. Washed up?
8. Los Pollos Hermanos (2-3) / 7 - This has to be a candidate for the worst pitching week ever, right? 82 IP, 0-11 record, 0 saves, 0 holds, 7.38 ERA, 1.68 WHIP. Jeez...
9. Billy Ball (2-3) / 9 - Coincidence or not that Jack has best week of season after publicly bashing players?
10. Fireballs (2-3) / 12 - STUNNING STAT: Rick wins by double digits for the first time since Aug. 8, 2010!
11. what a joke (1-4) / 8 - Only five weeks in and it's time to focus solely on the wild-card. Or the 2014 draft.
12. The Wrong Stuff (1-4) / 10 - Hal not even competitive in his losses this season. Average margin of defeat is 7.5

ReplyDeleteBilly Ball is currently looking for a new PR manager - seems we need someone to keep the owner's outbursts in house.
The reporting of inside the clubhouse of Billy Ball went something like this -
"Hey dumb ass owner - 16 to fucking 2 - how do you like that"? The owner says, "Rickie when you hit over .200 and get two balls out of the infield in the same week then talk to me".
Its chaos, pure utter chaos. Troy is shaking his head, five teams had a chance to get me out of here and they didn't.

And "washed up?", LOL.I make a finals run, get forgotten about for a few years, then come out swinging. It's a cycle.
